Copying Dictionary words from one Vocabulary to another.

Since most Windows applications all have the basic functionality (i.e. cut, copy, paste, etc.) then it makes sense to be able to re-use these commands between all applications. ZAP! Voice control allows the copying of Dictionary words between Vocabularies with ease.

The copy operations work via drag and drop.

Drag and drop operations work slightly differently than most applications. A single click in the Dictionary commands list box will start the process. To cancel the drag and drop operation; again click inside the Dictionary commands list box and then hit the <ESC> key, too.

Contiguous selections are possible:

  • select the first item
  • hit the <SHIFT> key
  • click the last item twice
  • release the <SHIFT> key

At this point the shaded-outline box of a selected item should appear. If it does not, simply hit and release the <SHIFT> key one more time.

Non-contiguous operations work very similary, except using the <CTL> key instead.
