Instigation Editing
As a Regulator
you will monitor the incoming Instigations and mark them for approval. It is up
to you to decide several important factors about the Instigation that will be key
in the overall "smooth" operation of the Instigation move process.
Upon logging in
as a Regulator, you will be taken to the "Manage Instigation" page:
Managing an Instigation
The panel on
the left contains all those Instigations that require your attention. For each
Instigation selected, it's details will appear in the panel on the right.
Notice that
there are two tabs on the panel on the right:
Right now,
let's concentrate on the Details pane.
Each of the
parameters that can be modified are indicated with TheObjectIs.com's unique "Graphical Data Modification Button" or
GDBM.
The GDBM has
several important characteristics about it, as follows:
- The circular graphic changes color depending upon what mode the element
is in
- Disabled - blue
- Hover - orange
- Enabled - green
- The GDBM stays enabled/disabled until it is "toggled" into a new state
Right now, the
graphic is blue, meaning that data cannot be edited.
Once clicked,
however, the graphic will change to green and the control that contains the
data is enabled for data modification.
GDBM States
It is important
to note that if a button is placed into a disabled state; any data
modifications that were made before it became disabled will also be lost.
When all data
modifications have been complete, you should see all the buttons with
modifications made to them containing green graphics.
Then hit the
"Update" button and your changes are posted back to the database.
The "Drivers"
tab allows you to assign drivers to the Instigation as necessary.
Assigning Drivers to an Instigation
You can use the <SHIFT> key with the
mouse to select a range of items or the <CTRL> key to select multiple
items, clicking one after the other
By clicking
"Update" any changes are reflected in the "Drivers Details" grid as explained below.
To help
facilitate in the choice of drivers, a "Drivers Details" grid shows the number
of moves already assigned to a driver and the total amount of time consumed by assignment
to those moves. Furthermore, a sub-details grid shows Instigations to which he
has been assigned.
